Regional Undergraduate Chemistry and
Biochemistry & Cell Biology Symposium

The Regional Undergraduate Symposium held at Rice University provides a venue for students to give oral presentations of their undergraduate research projects. Students will have a unique opportunity to meet faculty and other students with mutual interests in a stimulating and inviting setting.
Who Should Attend?
Undergraduates currently conducting chemistry or biochemistry-related research. Faculty advisors are encouraged to participate as well.
The Regional Undergraduate Symposium provides students currently involved in research projects an opportunity to interact with distinguished faculty. There is also an opportunity to win cash prizes for outstanding presentations. Meals are provided and no registration fee is required. There is
limited lodging support for some of the students attending from outside the Houston Metropolitan area. Apply early if you are interested in applying for lodging support.

Register through the Regional Undergraduate Symposium application and abstract submission site . Questions can be directed to the Chemistry Department (chem.rice.edu, 713-348-4082) or the Department of Biochemistry & Cell Biology (biochem.rice.edu, 713-348-4230).
Early registration deadline: Monday, October 1, 2012
Applicants who miss the early registration deadline must do so in full knowledge that they are in a less competitive position for acceptance into the roster, however, extensions will be considered by email request until maximum enrollment is reached.
